Raw Chocolate Avocado Mousse [RECIPE]

Avocado is such an awesomely versatile thing isn’t it? Seriously – you’ve got to love it.

I’ve made this Avocado Mousse a number of times now for different people and they just don’t believe it’s avocado! Even people who don’t like avocado, like this mousse because it just tastes like a delicious, decadent, chocolate dessert. (Just don’t tell them what it’s made from until after they’ve eaten it!).

It’s quick and it’s simple to make and here it is:

Ingredients

Table Of Contents

  • 3 large avocados
  • 2 large tablespoons of raw honey
  • 2 large tablespoons of organic palm sugar or rapadura sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence (real – not imitation!)
  • 2 large tablespoons of organic virgin coconut oil
  • 2 heaped tablespoons of raw cacao or raw carob powder (raw & organic)
  • quarter of a teaspoon of Tamari
  • quarter of a teaspoon of Balsamic vinegar

The how to

Pop it all in a blender and blend til smooth. Easy!

Refrigerate and then enjoy. This is sooooo good. Make sure you taste it before serving to make sure it’s sweet enough for you as ‘large’ avocados can be different sizes and so you might need to add a bit more coconut sugar or honey.

Enjoy!

Eat healthy 🙂

P.S. Did you read my review of the Vitamix blender? I think a really good quality blender is such an essential piece of kitchen equipment and I’m pretty impressed with the Vitamix. What do you think?

  1. That helped me a lot! Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!

  2. Ha ha – tell me about it. I’ve got too many sites and can’t focus on all of them. I need to do a biiiiigggg tidy up! This one is my main focus tho.

  3. where do you find raw balsamic vinegar??

    • Ok – mostly raw avocado mousse if you want to be picky! 99% of a recipe is raw enough for me to call it raw – palm sugar isn’t raw either but if you’re fussy about it leave out the balsamic and the palm sugar and use more honey – pretty simple really 😉

  4. I would love to write and say what a great job you did on this, as you have put a lot of work into it.

  5. Really nice post,thank you

  6. Believe me Merrilee – I’ve been thinking about it! I delete soooooo many comments from my blog every day – Comment spam is REALLY annoying and those chasing backlinks should

    1. Be a bit smarter and not put the same comment page after page…
    2. Be a bit more thoughtful to the blog owner
    3. Add something that’s actually of value to others
    4. Not waste their time or mine by add junk comments to my blog!

It’s not addiction unfortunately as you know – it’s chasing traffic and $$$ but doing it the WRONG way.
