Raw Chocolate Fudge Recipe
As I’ve ‘confessed’ in the past, I have a bit of a sweet tooth and so I’m always on the lookout for ideas for healthier versions of old (sweet) favourites!
Well, I came across an idea for raw fudge a while back and from that I created this raw chocolate fudge recipe, that even if I do say so myself, is seriously good! It’s also really quick and easy so I thought I’d share. Here it is:
What you need
- 2 cups of raw nuts (any type or a mixture)
- 1/2 cup of raw organic dessicated coconut
- 1/2 cup of organic coconut palm sugar
- 1/2 cup organic raw carob powder
or raw cacao powder (you may need to use more sugar if using cacao as it is not sweet on it’s own like carob) - 1/2 cup cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil
(melted)
How to do it
Blend the raw nuts in a blender until resembling bread crumbs.
Put chopped nuts in a bowl and add the:
- coconut
- coconut palm sugar
- carob or cacao
- coconut oil
Mix the ingredients together. The mixture will have a dry crumbly texture but it should stick together when pressed tightly in the hand. If it does not stick together add a bit more coconut oil.
Pack the mixture firmly into a tray and place in the freezer.
Once cold and hard, cut up or break into pieces and store in the fridge or freezer.
P.S. If you’re a chocolate lover why not try Changing Habits raw cacao wafers! They’re pretty awesome - just real, raw, organic chocolate - so all you need to do is melt them and add whatever sweetener and extras you want to create your own favourites. Brilliant!

Wow! Thanks for this recipe! I love chocolates!
I use - wait for it…….
The DELETE button! and I delete lots and lots of comments, believe me. The spam is frustrating and I delete probably 99 out of 100 comments hoping that the spammers will give up. It’s a huge waste of their time and a little of mine, but such is life - no magic plugin I’m afraid (although Akismet helps).

That recipe sound great I am going to try it but I need to go shopping as I don’t have all the ingredients in my pantry at present.
Hi, Sue,
Bummer about all the spam comments.
This is for real. What would you think of half carob and half cacao? It might be tasty. I am crazy about both.
Gail
It would no doubt be tasty Gail. I say go for it! 🙂
