Ganoderma Lucidum is also known as Reishi in Japan, Ling Zhi in China, Lin Chi in Vietnam and “The King Of Herbs” to those who know it today.

Ganoderma is also known by other names in other parts of Asia, all of which point to the power that this mushroom has to improve the health of those who consume it. For example, the Chinese name Ling Zhi is made up of two words and can (according to the Wikipedia page on Lingzhi) be interpreted with such meanings as ‘Possessed of soul power’, ‘Herb of spiritual potency’, ‘Mushroom of immortality’ among others.

This marvelous magical mushroom has been used in China for at least 2000 years.

What Is Ganoderma Lucidum?

Ganoderma Lucidum is a type mushroom that grows on a tree (and from this point on I think I’ll refer to it as Reishi because it’s just simpler to read and to type).

It’s one of those mushrooms that look kind of like a saucer that grows on the side of a tree. It’s shiny and woody looking, and not at all like the soft mushrooms that are so commonly eaten in salads, stews and soups. I’ve added some pictures so that you can see what it looks like.

Ganoderma Has Been Used For Over 2000 Years

This herb is known as ‘The King Of Herbs’ and has been used in China for well over 2000 years. In fact some sources say it’s been used for at least 4000 years! Either way, Reishi (or Ling Zhi as it’s known in China) has been revered and consumed for its amazing health giving properties for a very long time.

In the past, Reishi was so rare and so valued that only Kings and Emperors were able to enjoy its benefits. However with modern cultivation techniques, this amazing herb is now available to the rest of us.

Ganoderma Benefits = Better Health

Ganoderma benefits every system in the body. It stimulates the immune system and empowers the innate healing wisdom of the body, helping to create balance and positive changes in the health of the user.
