Benefits Of Ganoderma Lucidum
The health benefits of Ganoderma Lucidum have been enjoyed, experienced and documented by humans for thousands of years. As you probably read in my last post about this amazing mushroom, records of its use date back over 2000 years.
So let’s learn a little about the benefits that may be experienced with its use.
Health Benefits Of Ganoderma Lucidum
The following is a list of benefits commonly attributed to the use of Ganoderma. For many of these, there is little or no scientific evidence - only common experiences and testimonials from users. So for those who rely only on ‘science’, you may want to stop here…
However, for those who like myself are open to the thousands of years of evidence provided by the actual use of Ganoderma by real humans, this makes for interesting reading. Please also note that there is a fair amount of actual ‘scientific’ research and studies that DO show evidence for some of these claims (I’ve included links to studies at the bottom of this page). So here we go:
- Immune system support
- Allergy relief
- Cancer prevention
- Maintains & balances blood pressure
- Improved circulation & beneficial for heart disease
- Diabetes - Improvement in blood sugar levels
- Weight loss
- Improved sleep (quality & quantity)
- Calming - reduces feelings of anxiety and stress
- Helpful for the symptoms of chronic fatigue
- Anti-inflammatory effects
- Anti-aging benefits
- Improved liver function
- Improved athletic performance
- Improved recovery from exercise
- Increased testosterone (and related benefits)
- Improved health & wellbeing
- Detoxification of the body
How to use Ganoderma (Reishi)
This mushroom is woody and fibrous, not soft and pliable like the mushrooms commonly used in cooking. Traditionally it has been taken in the form of a tea or soup, but today it is commonly available in powdered form and capsules.
There is apparently no recommended daily dosage for Ganoderma and it is considered safe, even in large quantities.
Please note: Due to the stimulating effects of Ganoderma on the immune system, it is not recommended for people who have had organ transplants. Those on blood thinning medications such as Warfarin should check with their health practitioner as the consumption of this herb may increase the blood thinning effects of the medication.
P.S. I’ve been taking Ganoderma for a little while. I’m getting some interesting results even though it’s early days. If you’d like more info on how I take it and which brand I’ve found to be the best, get in touch and I’ll send you the details.
