Do you drink Diet Coke? or other diet drinks? Do you consume Equal, Nutrasweet or Spoonful or chew gum even? They are all sweetened with Aspartame. Have you heard of it? If you’re eating or drinking it then you probably haven’t.
If you have and you know about the problems and still put the stuff in your body then I’m sorry, but you must be daft!
It amazes me that so many people still haven’t heard of Aspartame and the damage that it does. Do a search online. It’s been described as the most dangerous food additive on the market. The only people with good things to say about Aspartame either have ulterior motives or no common sense!So many people drink diet coke. It’s fascinating. Some people have heard that Aspartame is bad for them, but continue to drink it and don’t care – but that has to be because they don’t realise all the potential problems it causes – obviously!

Aspartame is implicated in Parkinsons Disease and can cause the same symptoms as Multiple Sclerosis. It can and has been diagnosed as such. It has also been implicated in Lupus as well as many other varied health problems and symptoms.
Aspartame is a neurotoxin and can cause brain tumours.
It is addictive and when heated can cause huge health problems such as those seen in the servicemen and women with Gulf War Syndrome. Gulf war syndrome is thought to be caused by diet coke sitting in the sun and being heated up by the sun before being consumed by personnel during the Gulf War. This is because when aspartame is heated over 86 degrees Fahrenheit, the wood alcohol converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid. The methanol toxicity mimics Multiple Sclerosis.
Aspartame Causes Behavioural Changes & More…
Aspartame can cause behavioural changes by affecting brain function and chemistry. The following symptoms can be caused by aspartame disease: fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting pains, numbness in the legs, cramps, vertigo, dizziness, headaches, tinnitus, joint pain, depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss.
Aspartame is deadly for diabetics as it causes blood sugar levels to become unstable and yet it is still recommended by diabetes organisations and their nutritionists, all thanks to some very good marketing!
All of these things are great reasons to avoid this ingredient now found in over 5000 foods.
But people still consume it… Weird but true! The one thing that might actually cause people to stop and rethink this, is that Diet Coke will make you FATTER, and it will make it HARDER TO LOSE WEIGHT! That’s right. This product is touted as being a diet product, and yet it has the opposite effect. It causes havoc with blood sugar levels leading to increased weight gain and it causes an increase in appetite!
This explains the hoards of obese people drinking diet coke while eating their takeaways! Just take a look around you – the evidence is everywhere. Aspartame is addictive and it makes you eat more.I don’t expect you to take my word for it. Do some research and learn what to look out for. Aspartame is disguised on food labels under various numbers and names. Learn how to recognise it and then avoid it like the plague and you’ll be doing your body a favour.
And please don’t give it to your kids!
A Final Note On Coke
In the past I’d have said you’re better off with the ‘heavy’ coke, but not now. It’s sweetened with high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar and that’s almost as bad. But the good news is that no one ever died of a Coke deficiency, and there are always other options. Why not try my healthy diet soda alternative. You’re body will love you for that… 🙂
